The Classroom
Teaching That Started With Listening
In Beijing, I taught English to children aged 3-11 using the Oxford curriculum in a dynamic language-center environment. Every lesson required structure, energy, and emotional sensitivity.
Teaching showed me a simple truth: people grow faster when they feel seen and understood. I learned to adapt my communication style in real time, guide group dynamics, and build confidence in students with very different personalities. The Shenzhen period was more competitive and demanding, and that challenge strengthened my preparation and professional clarity.
After China, I returned to Russia and built a private online/offline format with a focused group of students. As demand increased, I transferred part of my student flow to a trusted aviation colleague on maternity leave to support her income and maintain quality. In parallel, a 140 km Altai route reinforced the same principle: endurance, preparation, and adaptability produce results.
“People grow fastest when they feel understood. I carry that into every team I join.”

The Lesson
Elza was eight and overloaded with school, ballet, piano, and English. She resisted class and shut down. I stopped treating her as a discipline problem and gave her responsibility instead, making her a class helper. She transformed, began explaining lessons to others, and became one of the strongest voices in the room.
